As GPS technology gets better and better and smaller and smaller it will be able to be used for many things? For instance at the World Series a baseball hit into the third level will be able to be recorded by GPS as to exactly how far it was hit and its trajectory to formulate where it would have actually landed had the stadium been flat. Way-points are displayed also as to where the sand traps are, lakes, edge of fairway and the rough surrounding the green.

The World Think Tank recent discussion and brain storming session digressed from GPS navigational devices to sports and we came up with the idea to put GPS Sensors in golf balls, so you could find your golf ball if you have a nasty slice or heavy winds taking it off course. Part of our discussion also came from another recent think tank discussion on putting GPS sensors on Locusts Swarms in order to track them.

The idea of putting GPS sensors on Locusts is a noble idea, yet who will pay for this technology, as the locust is small and cannot carry much weight and still keep up with the rest of the swarm, which of course would throw off the reading? Our thoughts were to let the golfing community pay for it. After all if the locusts see such a green area of grass they would eat it all up.

As a kid I use to run on the golf course and saw balls way off the ranges and fairways. Some of these golf balls were custom, with people's names on them? Ouch adding insult to injury, I could immediately tell who the bad golfer was? With the new GPS WTT Golf Balls you could never lose your golf balls, because you would know their exact location via a set of satellites and that data would be displayed on your wireless PDA device. This PDA wireless Tracking device would be with you and you could carry it in a zipper pouch on the golf bag or on the steering wheel of your golf cart. Now then on the poles and flags of each hole would be another sensor so when you set the ball on the "T" for the next shot you would see the exact distance.

A Sarasota Company, Great White Shark Entertainment is already busy installing WiFi and GPS systems such as golf shot distance measurement and course information which includes a Golf Cart mounted system and handheld PDA wireless mobile display. These systems will become great revenue enhancers for Golf Clubs and for the serious golfer who likes all the bells and whistles and has the money to afford them. A future thought along this theme would be to eventually have, thru special internal parts and shape shifting techniques, the ball if it got close would simply roll over to the hole and fall in. An outdoor enthusiast might appreciate a creative proposal during a camping trip. Its a good idea to plan a quiet trip for just you and your girlfriend at a picturesque location. You could hide the ring in your sleeping bag to use in a surprise proposal. When its time to go to sleep after a long day of hiking and fishing, you could complain that there must be a rock or something underneath you and then pull out the ring and make your proposal. Another creative proposal idea is to place an ad in a local newspaper. You could place an outrageous ad in a newspaper asking anyone who was willing to get married to give you a call and include a fictitious phone number. Then when you and your girlfriend are reading the paper together, you could point out the ad as a joke and while she is reading the ad, seize the opportunity to pull out the engagement ring and let her know that you would love to marry her.

Proposing at a sporting event is a creative way to propose to a sports fan. For this proposal idea you could either arrange to have your proposal broadcast over the public address system or displayed on the large screen. If you are really adventurous, you could also contact the teams public relations department and try to make arrangements to make your proposal on the field at halftime. They might be willing to help you stage a scenario where you are either chosen to win a prize or participate in a contest and while you are on the field, they would hand over the microphone to allow you to make your proposal.

Another creative marriage proposal idea is to purchase a book of poems and leave the first few pages intact and carve a heart into the remaining pages and sew the engagement ring to the back of the book. You could suggest taking turns reading the poems on each page and plan to have your girlfriend turn the final complete page to reveal the heart and ring that were hidden inside. This proposal idea is not only creative but also incredibly romantic.

Having the DJ of your girlfriends favorite radio program ask her if she will marry you is another creative proposal idea. You will want to make sure that you are aware of the exact time that the DJ will be sending your message so that you are able to ensure that you and your girlfriend are listening together when he makes the announcement. You could also arrange to have the DJ play a song that has a special meaning for you as a couple so that you can enjoy a dance together after she accepts your creative proposal.

Another creative way to propose is to include all of your family and friends in the event by inviting them all to a surprise party for your girlfriend. To make this proposal work, you would either convince your girlfriend that you want to have a quiet dinner at home or at a restaurant with just the two of you. Once you arrive at the destination all of the guests will reveal themselves and while all eyes are on the two of you, you could take the opportunity to profess your love and propose.

Still another creative way to propose is to hide the ring in an unexpected location. For example you could pretend to have a clogged sink and while you are working to fix the clog, you could reach into the sink and pull out the engagement ring. When your girlfriend is nearby, you could seize the opportunity to pull out the ring you had hidden earlier and say something to the effect of, No wonder the sink is clogged, Ill have to find another place to store this ring, how about your finger? This whimsical proposal is both light-hearted and creative.

A variation on the traditional proposal at an elegant restaurant could be to have the waiter bring out the ring with the bill. You could have a little good natured fun with your girlfriend by going out of your way to drop hints that you would be proposing over dinner. If you keep up the act, she will be expecting your proposal with each course. After dessert you could tell her that you have something very important to ask and as she eagerly awaits your proposal, you could ask an inconsequential question about something completely irrelevant to your relationship. She will probably be furious at this point but her anger wont last as the waiter arrives with the bill and the engagement ring and you let her know how much she means to you.

Finally a creative proposal idea is for the woman to ask the man to marry her, instead of waiting for him to propose. Many women anxiously await the day that the man in their life will propose but why not add your own creative twist by proposing to him instead. The woman is free to propose in any way that she finds truly romantic and can ensure that the proposal is both creative and romantic and that its a moment that they both will remember for the rest of their lives.

A great marriage proposal doesnt have to be expensive or extravagant. Many women are more likely to cherish the memories of a proposal that was inexpensive but truly creative. The creativity is what makes the proposal so memorable and what makes it a great story to tell their friends.

Why should Christians cry "persecution" whenever they find themselves harassed or even jailed in countries where the cultural mindset is not Christian? Much ado is being made about a Christian minister in this area who has been arrested for "publishing offensive material against the sensibilities of the people." Of course now, those who know this man define his predicament as pesecution. Is it really?

Fundamentalist Christians have a mandate to "go ye therefore into all the world and preach the Gospel." They write hymns that imprint this imperative on the mind from their youth. They do it "marching as to war" and "Like a mighty army." They do as a "mighty fortress" and "loose the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword." They also get really ticked and offended when others do the same to them with their religious perspectives.

People don't like it when you push at them or get in their face about their faith versus yours. If a Hindu, and it is in India where this young man has gotten himself arrested for offending the locals, came to this town forcing and pushing Brahma, Vishnu and Siva onto the popluation, he would be demonized and not well received either. It is just that those of most Eastern religions, such as Hindu and Buddhism tend to draw inquiry by having an interesting perspective that attracts. They don't stand on the corner handing out tracts you didn't ask for, nor do they yell and scream at you about going to hell if you don't accept them.

Christianity is by and large a proselytizing relgion that places getting others to agree with them as a high priority for believers. It is also something that proves your sincerity and conversion. If you believe it, you will naturally want to tell others to believe it as well. Most average Christians hate the idea of having to witness. It's a real, "oh brother" kinda feeling. But then there are the fundamentalists who feel that their own worth and salvation depends on their pushing their views and perspectives on others who neither ask nor care. Some think it is God's work to convince the choir to just come to their church instead of the one they have already selected. Some think that encouraging church hopping is the same thing as evangelizing.

But going to a place on the planet where your perspective is not welcome is asking for it. It is not persecution when one gets their butt in a crack over "offending the sensibilities of the people." Yet, whenever a fundamentalist Christian gets into trouble in a place where other cultures won't tolerate the pushing and hell fire threats, they cry "Persecution." It is not. It is people pushing back because they neither care nor want to hear the views that mean little or nothing to them. It is no different a reaction the Christian would give to any Buddhist or Hindu who tried to push their views onto them, and then threaten eternal consequences for not believing them.

As long as some Christians insist on pushing people and getting in their face about how their way is the only way and their views are the only views, they will experience pushing back. Every action will get an opposite and equal reaction It might be verbal, it might just be a look or a hand held up to signal stop. But it might also be a few days in jail and in some cases a bullet in the brain.

It's so simple. Leave people alone. If they want the glorious truth that someone else has, they will ask for it. They will seek out the books explaining it and will find the teachers that teach it. The Church has far too long pushed, marched and swift sworded those who did not agree with it and those that did not ask about it. Even the Church's book warns them they will reap what they sow. How about "let your light so shine that they might see your good works" and by this engender inquiry about one's faith instead of "marching as to war" over it or threatening in mind numbing hymns to "unloose the fateful lightening of His terrible swift sword," if they don't ask?

I'd say if you do this and offend the sensibilities of people, you should learn the lesson of your night in jail.

Can you really tell me what a great lover is? Perhaps you think you are one already but what criteria are you using to judge? I am talking about a lot more than the number of notches you may have on your gun.

Sad thing is most men aren't really all that tuned in to what makes a great lover. Whats even more sad is that most men certainly would like to be regarded as one. Clearly when this desire is based on some benchmark such as sexual prowess or some macho definition, the chances of becoming truly a great lover will remain in the dim and distant future.

Old hat it may be but just think back in history. Who were regarded as a great lover? Why were they regarded as a great lover?

So what is it that will make a woman sigh, go all weak at the knees (just thinking about it) and tell her best friend all about you as soon as she can after the first time you make love? What is it that will make you so appealing and successful?

If I asked you if you liked women, what would you say? Point is I am not asking you if you like having sex with women. Do you REALLY like women? If you do then you have a huge head (no pun intended) start. Why?

Stupidly we allow ourselves to get accustomed to the more masculine view of women through comedians, jokes, cartoons, discussions in bars and so on. If you happen to be this type, sorry mate, you have a whole lot of learning to do. As soon as you get the message, treat women as an equal, actually genuinely like women, then women will genuinely like you one more step to being a great lover.

Kind of leading on from the previous point, if you do like women, you will find it a whole lot easier to listen to them. I know great lovers are experts at using their mouths and tongues try becoming an expert using your ears. Women like to be listened to. Why?

Maybe its the equal partner thing. Maybe its because women like to feel that they are actually communicating with their partner or with their date. Look at it this way, dont you want your date to make you feel special? Well cmon reciprocate. Make the woman you are with feel she is important (not because of her body), make her feel she is special through focusing on her and truly listening to her.

This leads to your partner or date being a lot more relaxed and this feeling most definitely will lead to much better sex and take you a couple of steps closer to graduating as a great lover.

Sexual assault is not an occasional happening, on the contrary a woman is assaulted every 2 and a half minutes in the United States. When you consider that at least half of the assaults go unreported, that is a staggering number of women and girls whose lives are affected negatively by this trauma.

Dr. Michael Scolatti, a psychologist who works with sexual offenders says, Even though it happens to the individual, it is a public health problem because it affects so many spheres of a persons life. 20% of clinical depression can be traced to being sexually abused, two-thirds of the women who are in substance abuse treatment centers have a history of sexual abuse and 80% of the eating disorders have a root cause of some kind of sexual trauma.

In the interest of prevention, communities need to do more to empower, educate and support those who are the most vulnerable. Again, Dr. Scolatti said, This is a problem to all people in the community, not just the victim. It affects the family, employers, co-workers, interactions with others, because of the lack of trust. The ripple affect of sexual trauma has long reaching tentacles.

Tips to teach the women we love:

1.If you are attacked, always remember the elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do!

2.If you are mugged and the robber asks for your purse, dont hand it to him but throw it away from you. Then run like crazy in the other direction.

3.Use your loudest voice to scream for help, but if there is no one around, scream NO! and hold your hand in a stop position as you are backing away.

4.If someone should jump in your car and hold a gun to your head, do not drive off. Instead put your foot on the gas pedal and speed into something. The airbag will save you, and as quick as the car hits, jump out and run.

5.Be aware of your circumstances at all times. If you feel you are being followed, go to a public building and call 911. Do not take a chance.

Trust your gut

As humans, we are all blessed with an inner voice that gives us warnings and promptings. If something or someone does not feel right, then leave the area as soon as possible. Do not try to argue with your institution.

Sexual Assault is not about Sex

Sexual assault is about power, control, anger and feelings of inadequacy on the part of the offender. It is acting out of these thought patterns which focuses on those weaker and more vulnerable, which puts others at risk. Men, women and children who have been forced into sexual situations which were not consensual or where there was an unequity of power, should feel no blame or shame. It behooves us as a community to offer support for victims and speedy criminal charges and incarceration for those who would violate our most vulnerable members.
