Allergies Got You Down?

Try a neti pot! It is used to irrigate the sinus passages. The neti pot is filled with a gentle salt water solution and then poured into one nostril and then drained out the other nostril. The water goes through the nasal passages, gently washing and clearing out debris like old mucus, dust, pollen and other irritants that we breathe in-- and that tend to cause allergies.

Using it is a yogic technique of cleansing and its very common practice for people in India who use neti pots as part of their daily routine, like brushing their teeth. Where can you purchase a neti pot? Just about any health food store, or online, for around $20. Obesity and Penis Size... How do You Measure Up?

Is there any relation between obesity and penis size? The question arises because, many obese men suffer from acute embarrassment about their penis size. So much so that many have even considered penis enlargement options.

The answer is yes... and no!

Let's deal with the "no" part first. Obesity does not cause a man's penis to shrink. Nor do obese men have smaller penises than any other category of men.

So why all the fuss about obesity and penis size in the first place? Well, here's where the "yes" part comes in...

You see, obesity can give the illusion that a penis is smaller than normal. It does this in several ways.

Take two men of the same height and with the same size penis. One is of average weight, while the other is obese.

Naturally, the obese man will APPEAR to have a smaller penis in relation to his body size. Many champion bodybuilders complain about the same optical illusion!

There's another way obesity gives the illusion of smaller penis size. Obese men develop a fat pad at the base of the penis. When the penis is flaccid, it can retract into this fat pad. The penis can be further hidden by pubic hair.

Very obese men may not even be able to see their penises without the aid of a mirror as their chest and stomach block their view.

You can understand why many men in this position have considered penis enlargement. But it should be clear by now that in most cases penis size is not the real issue.

Obesity is the real issue.

Immediate results can be achieved by (carefully!) trimming pubic hair. Liposuction of the fat pad can also make quite a difference to the perceived penis size.

But the best solution is an effective, sustained weight loss program.

Weight loss will address the concerns about obesity and penis size. But, more important, the man will start feeling healthier and more positive about himself.

Running A Little League Baseball Fall League By Marty Schupak

Youth baseball seasons seem to be going longer and longer. Some leagues enter All Star tournaments all the way through August. Come the fall, do some of these players who have played the last six months really want to enter a Fall League? The answer is yes. More and more fall leagues are cropping up around the country. Even with the competition from football and soccer leagues, some baseball purists still cant get enough. How should a youth baseball organization run a fall league? The first thing the league has to do is see if their league insurance covers them for the whole year or just the baseball season. The league Board should look into this and determine the fee for the league. As for uniforms, nothing more than colored t-shirts from the league are really necessary.

The games themselves can be played a number of ways. I happen to think that the league should be as non competitive as possible. This is a great opportunity for players to play different positions that they didnt do during the season. Pitchers innings should be limited. For example, if it is a four game season a player cant pitch more than four innings the whole fall season. If it is an eight game season, no more than eight innings, total for the Fall league season. One inning per game per pitcher should be the average. This is forcing the manager to use different pitchers. Also how about having a batting order comprised of the whole team, lets say one thru twelve. With this we have free fielding substitutions. The point here is to get each player up. You can add other rules to keep the game moving like nine players maximum at bat per inning or seven walks per inning.

There are a number of other creative rules a league can try. The league has to make sure if they have certain rule changes it is aloud by the League Board of Directors and the League Charter. The main point is some kids prefer playing baseball to soccer or football in the fall. If there is enough interest, its a shame to keep these fields empty during the months of September and October and when timed correctly a youth baseball fall league can be run right up to league tryouts for the next Spring season.

Preparing for a Mini Triathlon

The best way to start your entry to triathlon is by joining mini triathlon. In this way, you avoid over-training yourself that might end up losing your stint in the competition. Still, the mini triathlon is a real triathlon and therefore you must give yourself enough time to prepare for it.

To preparing for mini triathlon, you need to remember 4 words: strengths and weakness, goal, and caution. These 4 will take you to the finish line if not the podium.

Strengths and Weaknesses

We all have strengths and weakness. And recognizing each of them would provide you with the best tool in making it to the mini triathlon. Knowing what are your strengths would mean knowing where to begin your training. They are your blueprints. Admit it, you may be good on swimming but not in running. You might be one hell of a runner but suck on the bike. The thing is: knowing where your strong and weak points are would let you know what to improve and what to keep on improving.

Goal

If you want to cross the finish line in one piece, you need to have a goal. And this would mean drawing up a plan (a realistic plan) that would take you to your goal.

First: Set your goal. In this case your goal is to finish the race in one piece (you may also consider other goals, its up to you).

Second: Make sure you have identified your strengths and weaknesses. In this way, you know how to keep on track with your plan.

Third: Devise your training schedule. Set schedules when, where, and how you should do it. Give yourself enough time to rest. A good rest will keep your body in tacked at the same time, improving as your training progresses. You may want to consult some expert on this.

And finally: Stick to your plan. Self-explanatory.

Caution

While improving your running, swimming, and biking is a good thing, there is nothing better than making a preventive measure every time you train. You will never know when injuries come but you can prevent them from happening. Take the necessary precaution to avoid ending up injured. Do some stretching before you begin the training. Wear appropriate gears. These include swimwear and shoes. Remember that running shoes are different from cycling shoes so you may want to consider buying at least one pair for each of them.

You should also take gradual training a good rest to keep injuries away.

Why The Stinky Mouth?

The main causes of bad breath are bacteria in the mouth and throat. What causes bad breath is that when saliva in the mouth is reduced, the bacteria have a chance to grow and spread. When there is an abundance of saliva in the mouth, acids produced by plaque are neutralized and dead cells can be washed away.

There are many possible reasons for reduced saliva in the mouth, some of which are easily preventable, while some are not. The amount of saliva our bodies produce, decreases with age, making our mouths a much more cozy place for stinky bacteria production." What causes bad breath when we exercise is that we become dehydrated and our bodies naturally produce less saliva in response. Breathing through the mouth has a similar drying effect and this most often occurs when we have not control over it, when we're sleeping. That's why one of the main reasons we get morning breath.

There are certain medical reason for bad breath too. Infections of the respiratory tract tend to easily cause bad breath. Many medications, both prescription and over the counter dry your mouth, leading to bad breath. Antihistamines, which are used to relieve allergies, high blood pressure medications and depression medications are all known to increase bad breath.

Alcohol aids in dehydrating your body, and besides the general dehydration, it dries out your mouth too. Not only alcoholic drinks, but also a number of mouthwashes contain alcohol, so using your mouthwash doesn't make your breath fresher, it actually makes things worse.

Smoking always dries out your mouth. Besides the obvious health issues related to smoking, it might be one of the causes of bad breath. If you have a natural predisposition to bad breath you are almost guaranteed to have a toxic mouth.

So how are dry mouth and bad breath connected?

Well, there are bacteria that are naturally found in your mouth. These bacteria are anaerobic, which literally means "without oxygen". Saliva helps to prevent bad breath because of the oxygen present in it, so when the amount of saliva is reduced, there is a corresponding decrease in how much oxygen there is to keep the bacteria at bay.

Those bacteria create sulfurous compounds, mostly hydrogen sulfide, which we usually think of as the smell of bad eggs. These bacteria are not bad in themselves and help in the digestive process, by breaking down proteins in your food. But they love those proteins, so a high protein diet can often lead to stinkier breath.

Just looking at these few causes of bad breath and taking reasonable measures to change those habits can lead to much improved breath, and don't forget that general oral care, like brushing your teeth 2 or 3 times a day is the first step.

Men Who Cheat And The Women Who Can't Stop Loving Them

Remember all the times you swore If a guy cheated on me, I would kick him to the curb. To me that would be a big betrayal, which I don't think I could look past?

He cheated on you alright, you are upset, hurt and feel betrayed but you still love him despite yourself. What happened to you and how come you havent kicked him to the curb yet? Okay, may be you did, but how come you are going back and forth about forgiving him and moving past his infidelity? How come you still love him just as much as before he cheated?

The first questions most women ask after discovering that their men have cheated with someone else are. Why did you do this? Who is she? How many times? Where was I? Did you talk about me?. On the surface level it seems that the main and most hurtful ingredient is the lying, deception and secrecy. But on a deeper down level the questions a person who has been cheated on wants an answer to are: Wasnt I good enough? Am I really that disposable? Did I really not mean that much to you at all? Is she prettier, sexier or better than me in any way?

When somebody cheats on you, they not only hurt your feelings and emotions, they actually take away something from you. Its not just a betrayal of your trust/relationship but a betrayal of how you see yourself as a woman and as a person. That is probably why it hurts so deeply -- and for a long time.

The more details he gives -- even if its truthfully and fully -- the more inadequate, unworthy and confused you feel. You think may be if I was this or that hed not have gone outside of the relationship to find it. That may be true in some cases and to the extent that there can be unmet needs and unhappiness in a relationship which make a man look for his needs to be met outside the relationship BUT men do not cheat because of women, MEN (AND WOMEN) CHEAT BECAUSE OF THEM. Cheating is a personal choice he makes knowing full well what the risks and consequences are. And no, it did not just happen out of nowhere, the choice to cheat came from somewhere inside of him.

Okay, he is flawed and has some serious issues, but you still love him. Where does that leave you? Youre the one who has the big decision to make. Do you stay with him or do you kick him to the curb? Do you forgive him or do you make him pay? What does what you decide to do say about you?

What you decide to do should be your choice. Just as he made a conscious choice to cheat, its your choice to stay or leave. Others may give their advice but the choice ought to come from you. Personally, I believe the choice to stay or leave is really secondary. Whether you leave or stay isnt as nearly important as WHICH YOU is staying or leaving.

The basic issue with cheating is NOT that someone has lied or betrayed our trust. This is the common view (and serious misconception) in our society about cheating and infidelity. We love to divide more complex issues into little meaningless pieces (Was it an emotional affair or was sex involved? Did it happen once or several times and all the the other compartmentalization mentality). Cheating is so much more and it affects us (men and women) much more deeply than we as a society have allowed ourselves to comprehend.

If you genuinely love someone, your genuine feelings of love dont just disappear. If its true love, you cant switch it on and off because a man (or woman) lied, kept is a secret or betrayed your trust. This is because when you open yourself to truly love someone, its not just them you are in love with; you are also in love with the aspects of yourself that they mirror back to you. When that mirror is shattered or broken (as in cheating) you can not see yourself clearly anymore and you even question whatever it is that you see. Repairing and putting together this broken mirror image of yourself to its original condition (or better) should be your first and primary concern.

If you decide to forgive him and stay in the relationship without taking time to repair and put together that broken mirror image to its original condition (or better) you stay looking at a broken mirror image of yourself. You may even forgive him but you eternally feel the gaps in your sense of self. You find that you mistrust (and even disrespect) your own internal signals or intuition. You continue to doubt your own self-worth and competence and desperately seek validation from him or turn elsewhere for validation. Even more than that you become excessively sensitized to signals that might suggest that he feels unappreciated, unneeded, or unsuccessful -- its like being re-traumatized over and over. Even in the best of situations, you experience a lack of understanding, genuine appreciation, and a fundamental gap in receptiveness or responsiveness.

And if you decide to leave and find yourself someone else -- again without taking time to repair and put together that broken mirror image to its original condition (or better) -- what you take to your new relationship are blurred and broken pieces of a reflection of yourself which are further distorted when mirrored in your new man. Often times you will not trust what you see in your new man and this can get you really jealous and paranoid even when he has done nothing to trigger those feelings in you. The reverse can be that you become completely numb to how you feel (and his affections for you) causing him to become jealous and even paranoid. (Does she love me? Is she still in love with her ex? Is there someone else? Did I make the right decision with this person?). etc.

Once youve done the repair work and put together that broken mirror image of yourself, you may decide that you want to make the relationship work. You will be making this conscious choice from a place of empowerment (clear and whole sense of yourself). Or you may decide you can't live with him but you don't ever have to stop loving him - those aspects of yourself that you saw in him and loved.

This is what standing in love with yourself truly means. This is the secret of attracting true love - and a new loving man. And this is true for women as well as for men.
