Gynecomastia - FAQ's On Gynecomastia Surgery

If you have gynecomastia, or man breasts, surgery may be your only option. But, with that said, it should only be an option after you have tried all other remedies.

For those who are facing gynecomastia surgery I'm sure you have many different questions. Here is a list of FAQ's to help give you the answers to some of your questions.

Q: Is gynecomastia surgery covered by my heath insurance?

A: In most cases the answer is no. It would be a rare exception if it was; gynecomastia surgery is considered cosmetic surgery and usually not covered.

Q: What is the cost of having gynecomastia surgery?

A: While there is no set amount, on average you can expect it to cost somewhere between $4,000 - $6,000.

Q: How old do you need to be before having surgery for gynecomastia?

A: Most doctors will not perform this type of surgery on anyone younger than 18. This is because in younger people there is a good chance the condition will go away on its own. It's also important to note that there is no maximum age you can be either. Unless you have a medical condition that would prevent you from having surgery you could be 70 or 80 and have it done.

Q: What about ugly scars from the surgery?

A: Naturally, there will be a small degree of scarring, but with today's advances in surgical techniques it will not be severe. There will be an incision around the nipple that will show a small amount of scarring, but that is about it. Also, with time the scar will begin to fade.

Q: How quick is the recovery time?

A: Gynecomastia surgery recovery time is generally a week to 10 days. After that it will be 4-5 weeks before you can lift weights or perform any strenuous activity on the job. Give yourself a little recovery time and don't rush things.

Ahh, Teach Your Kid to Ride a Bike! The Fun Way!

Step 1, PURCHASE THE SMALLEST BIKE you can find. A small bike that a 2 or 3 year old can sit on with his or her feet completely flat on the ground. Dont be distracted by all the beautiful bikes that they can grow into. Buy the SMALLEST bike possible --period. You can upgrade to a cool bike later after they learn how to ride.

Step 2, REMOVE THE PEDALS Make sure the seat is in the lowest possible position and then unscrew the pedals, yes, take them completely off. Before peddling comes balancing, so take off those pedals because they will just confuse your kid while he or she should be concentrating on balancing.

Step 3, COASTING & CHEER LEADING Find a small incline, almost flat but with just enough of an angle to let your kid practice slowly coasting on the bike. Let them coast down and walk back up as many times as they want with their feet sliding on either side of the bike. This lets them get the balance and the steering down pat before you put the pedals back on. And this way they will never fall down!

And your Job is to cheer every time they make it down the hill! Clap and scream and hug them as if they just one a gold medal! This is perhaps the most important part to get them excited to want to learn, you MUST do this. Dont worry about people watching, youll just look like the best parent in the world to anyone who happens to see you whooping it up with your kid. So always stand at the bottom of the hill and drag them off of the seat and hug them each time they make it down!

Step 4, PEDALS BACK ON Screw on the Pedals and let them practice pedaling and coasting down the small hill as many times as it takes until they are completely confident. More hugs, clapping and loud screaming whistling happiness!

Step 5, RAISE THE SEAT Without the child knowing it, slowly raise the seat one notch at a time let them continue riding then do it again when they arent looking, so that the child eventually has to touch the ground with just his or her tippy toes on either side of the bike which is the proper height for bike riding.

Your kids wont mind, because THEY WILL BE RIDING A BIKE! And never once will they fall and break a bone or bloody a knee or loose their trust in you for pushing them and letting go like all the other parents in the world are doing.

This is the only painless FUN way to learn to ride a bike! And it only takes one day! One day that can be recorded forever on video to show their friends that they never fell down once learning to ride a bike umm they must.

I love riding bikes! I'll zoom around exploring on bikes until they day I die!

I live in Tokyo Japan and think riding bikes downtown is better than any video game ever made!

Softball Drills

It is beneficial for a softball trainer to concentrate on increasing power, flexibility, and speed, and basic activities should include weightlifting, plyometrics, flexibility, and short burst sprint interval training. A softball player should increase his or her speed through "interval training," also known as "running sprints." Speed enhancement methods such as "assisted acceleration" or "over speed training" train a runner to move legs more speedily. In addition, "resisted acceleration" or "overload training" utilizes methods such as dragging a sled and parachutes. There are various types of softball drills such as the all-around, deadball, fence, fungo fielding, line relay, loadfire, and pick-up. Some other examples are the wrist roll, stride, rocking, quick-hit, and lead-and-fire.

All around drill is a great drill for working on an infield quickly and warming up. It is beneficial for teaching players how to back up a throw. Deadball drill is employed to strengthen the mechanics of pitching and to teach players to lift up a dead ball with their hands. Fence drill helps in developing faster bat swing. Fungo fielding drill offers players an opportunity for fielding a large number of ground balls. Moreover, Line relay drill helps to simulate throwing under softball game conditions. The loadfire drill also helps in developing and strengthening essential throwing fundamentals. Pick-up drill works on fielding fundamentals. Wrist roll drill is used to improve bat speed and control, by facilitating maximum effectiveness in hurling a bat at a ball. Stride drill helps a player to gain knowledge of automatically stepping to a ball, instead of stepping out of a box while striking, and this needs enough practice.

It is important for a player to train the trunk and upper body equally. A player needs to condition the muscles that support his or her trunk, or central part, and back, abdomen, and legs. This reduces stress on a throwing arm and permits lower body to supply more power throughout an entire throwing motion, resulting in less arm injuries and increased throwing pace.

The History of Good Humor Breyers Ice Cream Company

Good Humor-Breyers is located in Green Bay, WI. It has become the largest manufacture of packaged ice cream and they sell many frozen novelty products in the United States. Breyers, Good Humor, Klondike, and Popsicle are among the oldest brands of frozen desserts. They are all owned now by the Good Humor-Breyers Company.

They are such a huge company in the United States that they have to employ over 2400 people and they have about six manufactories located threw out the United States. They are so big that they have to have more than 200 employees at their headquarters to make all the business decisions. In one year, they produce more than $1.2 billion dollars worth of sales. Can you imagine how many Klondike bars that would be, but the world will do anything for a Klondike.

The Good Humor Company was started by Harry Burt in Ohio. It consisted of a huge fleet of Good Humor men and thats what started their fame. The Good Humor Company was started on purpose, but the Popsicle was made on mishap. It was discovered by Frank Epperson when he left a cup of powered soda and water with a stirring stick on his porch. When he woke up the next day the mixture froze. He marketed the idea and by 1928 had more than sixty million dollars worth of royalties from Popsicle. In 2001, over 1.4 billion sticks were placed in a Popsicle, making Popsicles the most popular flavored ice treats.

To pick the company apart, Breyers was invented by William A Breyer and he made his ice cream with a hand-crank machine. It was made of only natural ingredients, which are mostly just sugar, cream, fruit, nuts, and other natural flavors like vanilla bean. The company started as a small business that sold ice cream to the local Pennsylvanians. The demand for the ice cream grew and the company had to expand. The first Breyers plant opened in 1896.

The logo of the leaf was an honor to Philadelphia because briar bush was very popular in the area. In 1926, the companies become the Kraftco Corporation (Kraft). It then went under the Good Humor division and has become the ice cream that is known today. It still guarantees only natural ingredients and that is why you can say and recognize everything listed on the label.

Popsicle was made accidentally, but it quickly became a favorite. In 1923, it got its name from children asking for Pops sicle. In 1925, Epperson sold his rights to Popsicle to the Joe Lowe Company located in New York. Later it became art of the Consolidated Foods Corp and then to the Good Humor Company in 1986.

Today they sell more than thirty different types of Popsicles and the company became one of the top selling novelty brands. FireCracker Double Fudge, Jell-0 Pudding Pops, Creamsicles, Sponge Bob Pop-Ups, Fudgsicles, Lifesavers, Bullets, and Big Foot are few of their products. Some of the new products from Popsicle include Tubular Twists, Dora, Sponge Bob, Diet Soda Pops, and Goal! Soccer Ball. They all can be found at the local grocery store.

What about the other companies? They do own Klondike and everyone is well aware of the Good Humor products.

The new Cyclone ice cream line is part of the Good Humor along with many new cones and tubes of frozen desserts. You may have purchased one of their many sandwiches and bars. Klondike has many bars, cones, and sandwiches as well. Vanilla, Krunch, Chocolate, Whitehouse cherry, Dark Chocolate, Neapolitan, Caramel as well as the original Klondike are available.
